Worth investing 2 weeks of genuine participation. The feedback alone justifies the effort.

Limited self-promotion Moderately moderated Very Active
Worth 2 weeks of genuine participation before your first share. The engaged audience provides real, sometimes brutal feedback — and the Saturday thread is your best bet for a warm reception.
Before you post: Your Reddit account must be at least 7 days old with 10+ karma.

Tips for Founders

Do This

  • Engage in the community for at least a week before posting your product
  • Share genuine learnings from your SaaS journey, not just product links
  • Respond to every comment on your posts — the community rewards engagement
  • Use the Saturday 'Share Your Startup' thread for your first post
  • Include metrics and real numbers in your posts (MRR, churn, growth)

Avoid This

  • Posting a product link with no context or story
  • Creating a new account just to promote
  • Ignoring the flair requirement (posts get auto-removed)
  • Posting the same product multiple times in a short period

Self-Promotion Rules

Self-promotion is allowed but must follow the 90/10 rule. Most of your contributions should be helpful comments before sharing your own product.

Ratio Rule 90/10 — 90% of posts should be helpful, only 10% self-promotional
