Tips for Founders
Do This
- Participate in technical discussions for weeks before sharing your tool
- Use Showoff Saturday for any product launches
- Share open-source projects — they get significantly more love than paid tools
- Write technical deep-dives about interesting problems you solved
- Include tech stack details — developers care about how things are built
Avoid This
- Posting a product launch on a random weekday (instant removal)
- Framing a commercial product as an "open source tool"
- Ignoring the technical audience — shallow posts get downvoted fast
- Using the subreddit as a customer support forum for your product
