How the score works

Directory Score = DR × traffic multiplier. A directory keeps its full DR only if people find it on Google. Badges and link swaps can raise DR; they can't fake search traffic.

Search visits a monthMultiplier
100,000+× 1.0
10,000–99,999× 0.8
1,000–9,999 ← Yo.directory× 0.6
100–999× 0.4
1–99× 0.2
None× 0.0

Grades: A 40+, B 20–39, C under 20. DR is Ahrefs Domain Rating where we have it, otherwise a DataForSEO estimate; search visits are DataForSEO's monthly estimate, refreshed monthly.

Useful for visibility among people browsing tool lists, not for SEO. Every listing we checked sends visitors through a to.yo.directory short link (a Short.io 302 redirect served with X-Robots-Tag: none), and paid listings also carry rel='sponsored'. The free plan still asks for a crawlable backlink to Yo.directory, so it's a one-way trade.

Worth It / Watch Out

Worth It

  • The site says free and paid submissions both go live as soon as they pass an automatic check
  • The weekly newsletter includes the top 2 new free listings as well as paid ones
  • Basic is a one-time payment

Watch Out

  • No direct link to your site: outbound links go through a redirect short link
  • The free plan needs a crawlable backlink for as long as you're listed
  • Pro is a subscription: $30 setup, then $19 a month

Before You Submit

Login required: yes. /submit redirects to the pricing page, and every plan button says 'Sign in to...'. Sign-in is by an emailed link. Free listings get 1 category, Basic 2, Pro 4. If your tool is already listed, claim it from its page first, then upgrade from the dashboard. NSFW tools have separate pricing (/pricing?content=adult).

  • If your tool is already listed, claim it from its page before choosing a plan
  • On the free plan, pick your single most relevant category
Before you submit:
  • /submit redirects to the pricing page; you must sign in with your email to submit
  • Paid listings' 'View tool' links are rel='sponsored'
  • Free listings get one category and can't be edited; Basic can be edited every 6 months
  • When Pro ends, the listing becomes a free listing and loses its badges and pinned spots

Real Questions

Is Yo.directory free?

Yes, if you add a crawlable link to Yo.directory on your site and keep it there. Basic costs $49 one-time and drops the backlink requirement.

Does Yo.directory give a do-follow link?

Not a direct one. On the seven listing pages we checked, the 'View tool' button points to a to.yo.directory short link that redirects (302) to your site and is served with X-Robots-Tag: none. Paid listings add rel='sponsored'. The site doesn't claim do-follow links anywhere.

Does paying get my tool listed faster on Yo.directory?

No, according to the site. Free and paid submissions are both reviewed automatically and go live once they pass; a free listing also needs its link back in place.
